It lacks the charm of the original by the look of it. Part of the fun of Evil Dead was the really OTT nature of it.

Yeah, perhaps OTT wasn't quite the right phrase. Perhaps I'm letting Evil Dead II Dead by Dawn colour my memories of the original but the remake seems a lot nastier from the trailer.
