Space In This Place

Arctic Circle presents Space In This Place
With DJ Food, Astronauts, Transept and Paddy Steer

Venue: ArcelorMittal Orbit
Time: Friday 8 August, 19:00 - 00:00
Location:
 Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park,

London, Greater London, E20 2ST.
Weather: Bleak. Stormy.

So, Ben Eshmade and his Arctic Circle did it again. Another well-organised and successful event - and this time a first for the ArcelorMittal Orbit. Michelle and I arrived just before the storm broke and were met by a scientist at the entrance to the elevator. Now, when it comes to elevator music this was second to none, with live music performances actually inside the lift (see above). Also above: DJ Food aka Strictly Kev chats to Ben as the place hots up.

A disorientating mirror that took up a large proportion of the space, created some very odd scenes.

A self-portrait or 'selfie' - ugh! I look more like Exeter from This Island Earth.

The place was filling up, but not to maximum due to restrictions on the amount of people allowed.

Maaan! - was I having fun with this mirror!?!

DJ Food's set was spectacular as ever, and he really went to town with the 'Space' theme. Arctic Circle will be putting it up online soon, so I'll post it here when it's available.

Warped DJ Food.

Strictly Kev looking like he's in an outtake from Blade Runner, which sort of goes with the shirt.

The bar downstairs.

Rain.

0:00 hours = Hometime.

I enjoyed watching you spinning away. I think that’s the first time I’ve seen you live and in action!
